We had a great family vacation at St. Augustine Beach this year with my parents and sister. We also had a bonus because my cousins Mary Beth, John, and Cameron were staying about a mile down the beach from us so we got to hang out and eat family dinners with them. Tripp did a great job riding for such a long time! We timed it right so he would take his long afternoon nap and by the time he woke up we would be in Valdosta. It worked and we only stopped once to fill up the gas tank and eat supper. We arrived in St. Augustine in time for Tripp's supper time. Throughout the week we filled our days with playing at the beach, swimming in the pool, eating good food (my favorite...St. Augustine shrimp), and enjoying each others company. Tripp had a good time playing in his saltwater filled baby pool or sitting on a towel playing with his toys and we managed to keep him from eating too much sand. :-) Will, John, and Cameron went fishing two days (one day was rained out) and we ate some of their catch one evening for supper. Yum! Will was able to go play golf with an old friend and while he was golfing Tripp, Heidi, Momma, and I went shopping for new school clothes. I got lots of good stuff for work! Not that I'm super excited or ready to go back to work...that's a whole other story. I think the funniest thing about our vacation was the fact that Tripp slept in his pack-n-play inside the walk-in closet of mine and Will's bedroom. Momma and Daddy gave us the master bedroom so we would have more room for the three of us. Heidi had the loft bedroom and my parents had the front bedroom. This year Daddy woke early and cooked breakfast for the family while I fed Tripp his breakfast. What a difference a year can have. My parents have already reserved the same condo for next year when Tripp will be doing more than sitting and playing...look out St. Augustine, we'll be back!
