This week has been a week of firsts. Will assembled the exersaucer so Tripp could start using it. We also started feeding Tripp oatmeal with a spoon. Tripp likes the exersaucer and all it's lights and sounds. The oatmeal is another story! Will mixed the oatmeal with formula and made it very runny but still thick enough to sit on a baby spoon. I think more oatmeal ended up on his bib than in his stomach! After a few bites he was DONE with it! We tried it for 5 nights in a row between the third and fourth bottles and only one of those days was "successful". I'm not so sure that he's developmentally ready for eating from a spoon or maybe he just doesn't like oatmeal. No matter what, he's getting hungrier day by day so Tripp will get cereal or oatmeal one way or the other through a bottle or on a spoon.

Try and put a little applesauce in the cereal and see if he'll eat it then. That oatmeal tastes like CARDBOARD so that may give it a little more flavor. He'll get it...it just takes a little time to get the hang of eating from a spoon. Keep us updated on your little man ;)
